Mackenzie Airsoft Group

Hosted by Phorge Training

Mackenzie Airsoft Group is located in Fairlie, South Canterbury. We are approximately 10 minutes from Fairlie, 45 minutes from Timaru, and 2.5 hours from Christchurch.

Kiwi Lines is a privately owned lifestyle block and forest retreat, providing mountain views and a relaxed setting amongst 2.5 acres of Douglas Fir pine forest. Kiwi Lines features camping and cooking areas for groups to enjoy the outdoor space and quiet setting amongst the trees. Ryan Gilbert is a 15 year NZDF veteran who served in East Timor and Afghanistan. Kiwi Lines has been dedicated to providing personal support and assistance to New Zealand military veterans and service personnel for over than 7 years.

Mackenzie Airsoft Group operates a target shooting range, purpose built for airsoft and archery. As the homebase of our club, our training area allows for practice and refinement of marksmanship skills and team scenarios. We run competitive matches, similar to IPSC-style multi-gun shooting to develop team culture and continuity with other shooting sports across New Zealand. Deeply rooted in the New Zealand Army's range safety culture, we provide an observant yet relaxed atmosphere for beginners and experienced players to come have a plink with us, and hone their talents for the next game. We provide hospitality, enjoying good yarns and home cooked meals around the fire-pit for a unique and invigorating weekend getaway. We also provide local hunting and 'real steel' live-fire shooting packages with Sparrowhawk Range in Albury (approx. 30 minutes away) these services are provided through our business Phorge Training Ltd.

While construction of the Kiwi Lines airsoft arena is not yet complete, this development is currently underway with plans to create a unique area for games and competitive matches. We are open to suggestions from our neighbouring clubs, and would like to build our space in Fairlie with the airsoft community's input. Our team likes to meet and socialise in the Christchurch area, with the intent to join the wider Canterbury community and actively participate with airsoft teams and organisers of the district. We are experienced activity planners and volunteers, happy to assist with safety appointments and 'working bees' on request.

Our club adheres to the rules and policies set by Airsoft Sports New Zealand (ASNZ) to ensure continuity, professional conduct, and fairness within the sport. We adhere to all relevant NZ firearms laws and best practice guidelines within the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
